"Our eldest son, aged 15, started tuition with Andrea to boost his confidence and missing skills in English and maths after a period of missing school and a dyslexia diagnosis. We looked at a couple of tutors including a specialist in GCSE. However Andrea's professional yet naturally nurturing approach was the one he preferred. We're so glad he picked her. She assessed his learning gaps and made him feel comfortable and happy to learn. He has flourished seeing her once a week and has since had poems published and received an award for most improved student in maths at his college. Now our youngest son who has additional needs and had not attended school consistently for a couple of years due to unmet needs also sees Andrea once a week. He too has settled with her so easily and is finally taking off with his reading and maths skills.
We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Andrea. She has provided exactly what we wanted from tutoring, supported our boys to be confident in their abilities. She is consistent and compassionate in all her communications and we are excited to see the benefits of her support of both our boys."
“We were looking for some support for our 13 year old son who was struggling with his confidence at senior school, mainly due to the lack of understanding around his needs as a child with dyslexia. We found Andrea through a recommendation, and have been so glad we did ever since. N has really taken to Andrea’s style of teaching and the 1 on 1 support. He has grown in confidence and feels like he is understood as his lessons are tailored around his needs. We have seen an improvement in his assessment scores at school too, although this is a bonus rather than something we were aiming for. We would highly recommend Andrea at Hope Dyslexia Services.”
"My 13 year old son went to Andrea for an hour’s session every Tuesday night. He sometimes didn’t want to go due to wanting to be out with friends or gaming. However he still went and no matter what mood he turned up in Andrea was patient with him and he always came out saying he’d had a good session. He finds English really hard and I feel Andrea knew where he was at helping him with patience and respect. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Andrea for any child needing extra help with English or Maths. Andrea is very professional and her room is set up well with all the correct resources. Thank you, Andrea, for helping my son who has made progress since attending your sessions!"
"My son has always struggled with reading, writing, concentration and memory growing up and since COVID it had knocked his confidence within school. Mrs Manton was able to assess him and pick up on his needs immediately, even without a formal dyslexia diagnosis. My son's attitude and confidence grew significantly in a short amount of time working with her. He always looked forward to his one-to-one sessions not only because he felt he was accomplishing something but also because of Mrs Manton's natural nurturing approach. Her knowledge, caring and passionate nature works so well as it was clear she understood my son as a person as well as his additional needs. My son now reads and writes for fun at home and has come along so much more with his school work. We can't thank her enough.”
”My daughter B was diagnosed with dyslexia aged 8 and was struggling with school. Since starting lessons with Mrs Manton she has flourished and progressed immensely. She has spoken fondly of Mrs Manton and was always happy to go to her lessons with a skip in her step.
We will be eternally grateful to Mrs Manton for the care and high level of professionalism she has shown B. B is now able to attend senior school with a confidence in herself she did not have before.“
“I cannot praise enough Mrs Manton for all the help and support during the past school year! She has outstanding skills and experience dealing with learning difficulties and her approach towards my son‘s dyslexia was brilliant. From diagnosis to helping him unlock his abilities and develop, the support has been so helpful and adaptive, working with us as our son developed to where he is today. Thank you so much!”
"Mrs Manton has been a nurturing wonderful calm teacher for my 10 year old son, who has been learning and developing more confidence in himself from her lessons. As well as dyslexia, he also has ADHD, so Mrs Manton has made all lessons fun and enjoyable without expecting too much from him. My eldest, who is 13, also has dyslexia and was lucky enough to have Mrs Manton tutor him right the way through primary school. I would thoroughly recommend Mrs Manton for any of your children’s dyslexic needs,"
"Very many thanks for your hard work over the years. J has progressed so much in your careful and patient hands: we really appreciate what you have done."
"Thank you so much for your support, patience and dedicated work with G over the last few years. His development is amazing and I feel that without you he never would have got this far!"
"Many thanks for your hard work and support for both our children this year. Your expert tuition has made such a difference."
"You have helped me so much the last two years. Thank you for all you help and patience. You are every nice word I could imagine. I am going to miss you very much."
"Mrs Manton is my hero because she has helped me through the year with my dyslexia and my reading skills have gone up by more than 20%. I just can't thank Mrs Manton enough for helping me."
